The international humanitarian conference New Medicine – RAZOM began in Kyiv
The organizers were the National Agency for Humanitarian Aid ZDOROVI and the Razom for Ukraine Charitable Foundation.
The purpose of the conference is to build a strategy for supporting, developing and restoring Ukrainian healthcare through the joint efforts of the medical and humanitarian sectors.The opening of the conference was attended by the Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko and the head of the National Health Service of Ukraine Nataliia Husak.

In his speech, Viktor Lyashko noted the need for interaction between government organizations, charitable foundations, NGOs, international partners and donors to support and develop the medical system, which continues to experience numerous challenges of war. The head of the department named the priority areas of the ministry’s activities, those are to continue work on the availability of medical services throughout the country, including in temporarily occupied regions. Development of a network of rehabilitation centers and an increase in the number of multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams. Creation of new opportunities for prosthetics and surgery centers. Systematic work on a network of institutions to restore the mental health of Ukrainians and create access to quality psychological services.

In turn, the Head of the National Health Service of Ukraine Nataliia Husak spoke about the results of the reform of the healthcare system, the analytical work of the service, including the creation of regional analytical tables that contain complete information about medical institutions in Ukraine and help track the needs of the medical system in each region of the country. The head of the service spoke about monitoring projects aimed at improving the quality and increasing accessibility of medical services, and also announced certain legislative changes to improve the functioning of the medical system as a whole.
According to the founder of ZDOROVI Nataliia Tulinova:
“We have created a platform for meeting between the leaders of the government, humanitarian and charitable sectors, our international partners and donors, in order to jointly build effective mechanisms for cooperation and support for each other. Because we all have a common goal, that is the creation of a new Ukrainian healthcare that will work on the basis of transparent, understandable and high-quality mechanisms for providing assistance to those in need.”
“Uniting dozens of charitable foundations, international and national organizations, government representatives on one platform is an opportunity to create a constructive dialogue between those on whose efforts the quality of Ukrainian medicine today depends. We need transparent, fruitful interaction so that the healthcare system not only withstands the burden of war, but also medical care becomes more accessible and of high quality for patients. We are working on this together,” summed up the operating director of the RAZOM for Ukraine Charitable Foundation, Vitalii Svichynskyi.

The conference speakers were representatives of the Ministry of Health, the National Health Service of Ukraine, HEALTH CLUSTER, RAZOM charitable foundations, International Medical Corps, the National Agency for Humanitarian Aid ZDOROVI and others.
