ZDOROVI help hospital managers adapt the system of work in times of crisis
About the series of trainings conducted by our team for Ukrainian hospitals
As part of the project “Strengthening resources for the sustainable development of host communities in eastern Ukraine,”
specialists from the NGO ZDOROVI team conducted a series of anti-crisis training modules “Leadership in times of crisis” for heads of medical institutions. The project lasted three months. 63 hospital managers from 20 regions of Ukraine took part in the educational program, more than 200 participants watched the video recordings of the trainings. The main topics of training were the features of leadership behavior in times of crisis, effective team management, crisis management, and the psychological aspects of the work of doctors during war.
As Nataliia Tulinova, founder of the ZDOROVI and author of the training series, said:
“The purpose of this training is to support hospital managers and employees working under wartime pressure. Physical, psychological, emotional stress, lack of resources and constant risk are the conditions in which Ukrainian doctors work today. Therefore, the heads of medical institutions have a tremendous responsibility and our task was to give them the opportunity to get to know the approaches and practices used in the world’s leading medical systems to minimize the consequences of periods of crisis and adapt work to challenges.”
According to the executive director of the NGO ZDOROVI Olena Kukharets:
“We organized the most convenient format so that as many participants as possible could join, that is online or remotely. “I was pleasantly surprised by the geography of medical institutions that we were able to cover, because regardless of the region, medical workers need new tools to establish processes during war.”

After the training sessions, eight heads of medical institutions received individual consultation sessions with ZDOROVI experts and received a personal guide with step-by-step recommendations for resolving crisis work situations.

The project was supported by the international foundation Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
ZDOROVI’s large-scale humanitarian work occurs through cooperation with international partners, including MedShare, Embrace, RAZOM for UKRAINE, NOVA Ukraine, Americares, USAID, PHILIPS and other charitable foundations and organizations.
