Together for recovery: ZDOROVI and Embrace Global provided assistance to the youngest patients of Okhmatdyt
In early July, russia carried out a massive shelling of Ukraine, medical institutions fell victims to the attack
During another missile attack, russian terrorists struck one of the buildings of the Ohmatdyt National Children's Specialized Hospital. There were severely ill children and doctors in the building.

In broad daylight, an attack took place on one of the largest children's hospitals in all of Europe. The world could not stand aside and watch. Volunteers and ordinary citizens, Ukrainian businesses and foreign partners - everyone combined their efforts to help restore the hospital that has become a synonym with the word "hope" for millions of children, parents and guardians from all over Ukraine. After all, it was to this hospital that small patients from all regions were sent for complex and sometimes unique surgeries in the country.

ZDOROVI, as one of the largest humanitarian response organizations in Ukrainian healthcare, also quickly joined the assistance and contacted the partner network.
Our long-time partners Embrace Global were the first to respond with a willingness to help the children's hospital. This organization is especially concerned about the well-being of infants and newborns. Embrace Global has already helped more than 700,000 infants with life-saving portable incubators. Thanks to them, ZDOROVI was able to provide 10 such incubators to the Ukrainian Okhmatdyt.
According to the founder of the ZDOROVI Nataliia Tulinova:
“We are very grateful to our partners Embrace Global for their prompt assistance. Back in 2022, when we realized that Ukrainians were facing an extremely difficult winter and power outages, we prepared a special humanitarian program to provide doctors and patients with everything they needed to ensure that external conditions did not affect the quality and timeliness of medical care. During those times our partners Embrace Global provided extremely valuable assistance, namely portable incubators for newborns. In total, our team was able to donate 600 of these devices to hospitals”.
One of the biggest problems that low birth weight and premature babies face is hypothermia: they are unable to regulate their own body temperature and, therefore, cannot warm up. Even normal room temperature seems icy to these little babies. With these portable incubators, they will be protected from temperature changes even when nurses carry them to a bomb shelter during an air raid. Emergency care will also be available thanks to this equipment. And in the event of unscheduled power outages, there will be a reliable option for maintaining the baby's temperature.

Today, Okhmatdyt comments on the progress in restoring normal operations as follows:
“Restoration is beginning slowly but surely. Things are going well, we have already started repairs in some departments. Some buildings will be completely demolished and new ones will be built from scratch. So there is still a lot of work ahead!”
The warming sets provided by ZDOROVI will be used for children in the Department of Premature Infants, the Department of Resuscitation of Premature Infants and the Department of Intensive Care for Children with Peritoneal Pathology.

We are thankful to everyone who helped this story happen. ZDOROVI continues to work to be a reliable support for doctors and an assistant to patients in hospitals. Even the smallest ones!
