ZDOROVI, in collaboration with the International Rescue Committee (IRC)
is conducting a study of the mental health and well-being of Ukrainian healthcare workers in Ukraine. Understanding the critical importance of addressing mental health issues among healthcare workers, ZDOROVI is implementing a project to determine the mental health status of healthcare workers in Ukraine in collaboration with the International Rescue Committee (IRC).

The study aims to assess the impact of the war on the mental health and well-being of healthcare workers. Mental health is assessed using a short self-assessment questionnaire focusing on feelings of well-being experienced over the past month.

ZDOROVI and the International Rescue Committee (IRC) are collecting data to help understand the severity of mental health symptoms, specific needs for mental health and psychosocial support services, and potential negative coping strategies used by healthcare workers.

The study is being conducted in the ten most affected regions of Ukraine. Medical doctors, nurses, midwives, and paramedics are being recruited to participate.
As the founder of the National Humanitarian Aid Agency ZDOROVI Nataliiaa Tulinova notes:

“Healthcare workers who bravely continue to work in war-torn regions of Ukraine risk long-term psychological consequences that will ultimately jeopardize their own well-being. The study in collaboration with the International Rescue Committee (IRC) is an important project in our Mental Health direction. The results of the study will help to obtain in-depth data on the state of mental health of health care workers today and will form the basis for the development of high-quality projects on psychosocial support.”
